The construction industry's ethical instructions for construction sites and production facilities include instructions on, among other things, equality, ecology and addressing grievances. The guidelines have been prepared in cooperation with Rakennusteollisuus RT, Rakennusliitto and Ammatiliitto Pro.
Fundamental rights
All employees are paid at least the salary according to the collective agreement. According to UN human rights, we all have the right to organize into a trade union and monitor our own interests, for example by openly discussing issues with a shop steward.
Equality and equality
We do not discriminate against anyone based on age, ethnic or national origin, nationality, language, religion, belief, opinion, disability, sexual orientation or any other reason related to the person.
This means that we treat everyone equally and do not behave towards anyone in an insulting, threatening, hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive manner.
We do not accept workplace bullying, discrimination or other inappropriate behavior in our work environment.
Occupational safety and health
Together, we make sure that the workplace or production facility is safe, that employees use protective equipment, that everyone receives sufficient training for their work, and that occupational health care works.
We use a picture ID.
We ensure that the social security of all employees is in order, the employees are comprehensively insured against accidents, and the employer and the employee take care of fulfilling their social obligations.
Ecology and cleanliness of the work environment
We take care of cleanliness. We strive to prevent the generation of construction waste and improve waste management.
At the workplace and production plant, the environment is taken into account by recycling and sorting waste. As working methods, logistics and packaging methods develop, the consumption of raw materials and the amount of waste will decrease.
Addressing grievances
If we detect deficiencies in the above-mentioned matters, we inform our supervisor, if necessary, other management of the workplace or production facility or trusted persons, who must take steps to eliminate the problem. If necessary, we also report the problem to the authorities.
