In the standardization activities of Rakennustuoteollisuus RTT, the rules of operation of the national standardization group common to SFS and all its industry associations, the rules of operation of the monitoring service, and the rules of operation for the preparation of Finnish SFS standards are followed.
As the industry community of SFS, RTT manages standardization groups, where decisions are made about Finland's positions in influencing European CEN standardization and international ISO standardization. In addition, they prepare Finnish standards that are part of the group's area of responsibility, if necessary.
Participation in standardization groups and opinion formation
Participation in RTT's standardization groups is open to all parties and free of charge. The groups follow the common rules of SFS and its industry associations operating rules.
Decisions in standardization groups are made in accordance with the consensus principle. You can join the standardization groups by filling out the form participation form. Regarding the standardization of the technical committees for which RTT does not have a functional standardization group, in the national opinion round, the position is formed based on the opinions received together with the opinion makers. If necessary, a position formation and comment processing meeting will be organized.
Statements of standard proposals under RTT's responsibility
When the standard proposals come to the opinion round, all relevant parties have the opportunity to give an opinion on them. The opinion is given by giving feedback to SFS' statement request portal.
Written complaints
The processing of written complaints received from stakeholders regarding RTT's standardization activities takes place in such a way that RTT responds to written complaints submitted to RTT and delivers copies of the complaint and RTT's response to SFS. A written complaint can also be submitted directly to SFS or it can be done if RTT's answer is not satisfactory. If necessary, the decisions regarding the appeal are made in the standardization committee of SFS.
