Kattoliitto ry is an employer and business political association in the roofing and waterproofing industry, whose mission is to promote the profitable and long-term business of its member companies. Kattoliitto promotes good roof construction, taking into account the needs of the environment and society.
Kattoliitto ry was founded in 1964 as an association of entrepreneurs engaged in waterproofing contracting activities. Currently, the membership consists of contractor and industrial members.
The task of the union is:
- promotes the joint efforts of the industry towards more functional and sustainable roof solutions for Finnish properties
- promote healthy roofing contracting and competition in the field
- promote research and development in the field and guide the development of requirements and standards
- advise and guide the client of the roofing contract in finding a professional contractor and handling the formalities related to the contract
- promote work and fire safety in the industry
- monitor the interests of its members in labor market and economic policy issues concerning the sector
- develop the industry's warranty and contract terms
- increase the professional skills of employees in the field by developing training activities and quality control metrics
- represents its membership in other organizations related to the sector and employer organizations in the sector
