Building industry
Talonrakennusteollisuus ry operates as an industry association of companies in the building industry, whose approximately 540 members include the largest construction companies in our country as well as a nationwide group of small and medium-sized building construction contractors.
One of the most important tasks of the building industry is to monitor and promote the interests of its member companies in labor market and economic policy matters. It makes initiatives and presentations and participates in collective bargaining and the preparation of legislation and regulations in the field. The building industry has actively and long-term promoted, among other things, the fight against the gray economy and occupational safety throughout the industry. The development of the industry's general contract terms and procedures is one of its basic tasks.
The building industry is also responsible for the coordination of economic policy issues in the construction industry in the entire Rakennusteollisuus RT union community.
