Rakennusteollisuus RT and its member associations manage the interests of their member companies in economic policy, technical and labor market matters. We are negotiating parties for employers in the collective agreements of employees and white-collar workers. Together, we are also a strong voice in the industry, influencing the development of the regulatory and operating environment of companies.
Apply for membership in RT's industry association
You can apply to become a member through RT's member association, in which industry the company operates. When the company is accepted as a member of the industry association, it also becomes a member of Rakennusteollisuus RT and Elinkeinoelämä's central association EK.
Membership fees in different industries
Each industry association has its own membership fee criteria, which are determined, for example, in relation to the company's turnover, payroll and/or processing value. Membership fees and more detailed member benefits can be found in the industry association.
RT and its member associations offer companies numerous member services to make everyday life easier.
Experts from RT and its industries serve member companies by providing advice and training on questions related to working conditions, contract and contract conditions, among other things. They also produce guidelines and operating models for companies to use.
RT members also receive member discounts on the trainings of the Construction Industry Training Center RATEKO.

Information about the construction industry
RT produces statistics, reports and other materials concerning the construction industry. We publish a business cycle review twice a year and regularly update graphs about the industry's economic development in the pattern bank. We meet the changing information needs of our members and we also grasp new phenomena and topics that arise over time.
Newsletters for members
RT's industry associations inform their members about industry-specific issues with member letters and through their other channels. In addition, RT publishes an electronic member newsletter for the entire membership, which helps you stay up-to-date on current issues, training and, for example, changes in legislation. We communicate occupational safety matters with the eJokka newsletter.
Advocacy on behalf of member companies
Social influence is one of our core tasks. We keep in close contact with political decision-makers and authorities, so that, for example, in decisions regarding legislation, building regulations and public funding, the views of the construction industry and the operating conditions of companies are taken into account. We also influence, among other things, the development and reputation of our industry, labor availability, general contract terms and investments in R&D.
