Substitution for the Communications Coordinator during family leave

We are looking for a Communications Coordinator for a fixed-term employment contract for the second half of the family leave. The employment contract would start as soon as possible during August, and it is intended to continue at least until the end of January 2027.
You would work in our communications team under the supervision of the Communications Director. Our office is located in the heart of Helsinki at Eteläranta 10. We work hybridly on-site and remotely.
You will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Compilation of newsletters: a member newsletter every two weeks and a decision-maker newsletter every four weeks, in addition to two regional/topic-specific newsletters published a few times a year (LianaMailer)
- Publication of media releases (STT-Info)
- Media monitoring (Retriever) and monthly media summary for the RT board
- Internal communication in Pakki intranet and Teams
- rt.fi website maintenance (WordPress)
- Maintenance of the rakennusalalle.fi website if necessary (WordPress)
- Image bank maintenance and image processing
- Event invitations for events if necessary (Lyyti)
- Meeting arrangements for the communications team, communications group and communications network
- Occupational safety communication as needed in cooperation with an occupational safety expert
In addition, you will participate in the following tasks according to your skills and interests:
- Monitoring and management of our social media channels (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok, Bluesky, X, Youtube)
- Light editing of social media videos, possibly also planning and filming
- Designing visual content for social media
- Putting social media concepts into practice in accordance with our new social media strategy, including attraction communications for the construction industry
- Refinement of the visuals and content of Powerpoint presentations as needed
- Producing or editing text content that speaks to target groups and is in line with brand identity for various channels (social media texts, articles, press releases, blogs, etc.)
- Other communications and communications team tasks
Note: we work in a PC environment, no Macs are used.

- Education appropriate to the position and some work experience in similar positions
- Initiative, enthusiastic and collaborative approach to work
- Systematicity, but also flexibility to adapt to changing situations
- Willingness to learn and technical proficiency in using different systems and applications
- Knowledge of online communication and various social media channels
- A visual eye and editing and image processing skills are a plus
- A fluent pen and a willingness to tackle a variety of topics
- Previous work experience in similar positions
