Scaffolding division

In 2012, a scaffolding division was established in Talonrakennusteollisuus ry. The aim of the division's activities is to develop the scaffolding contracting industry in a versatile manner in Finland.

The most important tasks of the Scaffolding Division include, among others

  • improving occupational safety and work methods in the industry
  • development of productivity in the sector
  • improving the professional skills of those working in the field
  • following legislation and influencing legislation both in the EU and in Finland
  • participation in the preparation of EU standards for scaffolding and weather protection
  • issuing statements and opinions in matters related to the industry

Scaffold installer training materials

The training materials prepared for personal certification training of scaffolding installers are available to RT member companies. The materials are also suitable for vocational educational institutions for educational use regarding scaffolding and weather protection. Log in to the member pages to download the materials.

European-level advocacy through UEG

In 2008, European scaffolding manufacturers and contractors founded a common interest organization, UEG, to protect the interests of the entire scaffolding industry. The abbreviation comes from the name The Union of European Scaffolding Contractors.

UEG has scaffolding industry and construction associations from 12 European countries as members. Talonrakennusteollisuus ry (General Contractors of Finland) became a member of the organization in 2013.

At the European level, UEG's main tasks are, among other things:

  • to coordinate and support common business, technical, economic, social, cultural and other interests
  • acquire, coordinate and promote common interests for members
  • to be involved in influencing the industry's standardization work
  • ensures permanent communication between members.
