Thursday: Involving young people in construction – safely!
Brother-Pekka Natunen, teacher, Stadin AO
The topic of Thursday morning of Safety Week is young people and occupational safety. What should be considered when young people and those who are less familiar with the industry in general arrive at a construction site, especially during the summer or for training? How should young people be welcomed, introduced, guided and directed to work safely? Each of us influences the experience and understanding of the construction industry. We need new people in the industry in the future, so we hope to leave a positive mark on the industry.
Friday: Safety starts with habits
Kati Kuoksa, Regional Specialist, Building Construction Industry
The topic of Friday morning of Safety Week is interaction and safety. A safe construction site and workplace is created when each of us leads ourselves, speaks respectfully, listens openly and cares about others.
