Safety Week is an annual joint effort by the entire construction industry to promote safety. Construction Safety Week is organized by RT together with its member companies and partners.
Safety Week reminds us that responsibility and safety go hand in hand, and that developing safety is everyone's business. A safety culture is developed through leadership.
Safety Week 2026
Safety Week 2026 is week 19 (4.-8.5.2026)The construction industry's joint safety week will be implemented with a new concept this year: RT will organize a webinar-style safety vigil every weekday morning from 9:15 to 9:30. More information will be updated on the safety week event page.
During Safety Week, RT member companies organize various events related to occupational well-being and safety at the workplace. The RT member website has a lot of ready-made material to help you organize events. During Safety Week, you can organize, for example, a safety watch on moving around the construction site or take control of dust.

At the 2025 Safety Week seminar, RT awarded the Occupational Safety Award to a person, team or organization that has significantly contributed to occupational safety in the construction industry. Three certificates of honor were awarded at the seminar:
- Jatke Oy's Keilaniemi Porti construction site and site manager Pekka Ruokonen were awarded for the construction site's own feat of the month practice.
- Swisspearl Tuotanto Suomi Oy's EHS team Matias Raita, Mervi Rääpysjärvi and Kristian Harkkala were awarded for their systematic development of occupational safety.
- The Concrete Industry Element Division and Tapaturva Oy were awarded for their concrete element transportation and driver instructions.
