RT published guidelines for considering diversity, equality and non-discrimination and for dealing with inappropriate treatment

The aim of the new guidelines is to provide practical examples that will help employers meet their legal obligations and build a safe, open and productive work environment.

The instructions include the following information and tips:

  • What is meant by diversity and what are its benefits?
  • Obligations of the Equality Act for companies of all sizes
  • Templates for preparing an equality plan and a non-discrimination plan
  • Advice on identifying discrimination, harassment and unfair treatment
  • Tasks and responsibilities for preventing and addressing inappropriate treatment
  • Step markers for handling inappropriate treatment

The guidelines are part of the implementation of the construction industry responsibility program's theme of a diverse and well-being workforce. The goal is zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment and inappropriate treatment.
