Collective bargaining negotiations for construction workers continue, negotiations on white-collar contracts begin

The Construction Industry Federation (RT) and its branches have been negotiating collective agreements for construction workers with the Finnish Construction Federation since January. No solution has been reached and negotiations have continued without an agreement since the beginning of March. The collective agreements for salaried employees in the construction industry and the building materials and concrete industry expire on 30.4 April. Negotiations with the Pro trade union will be launched this week.

The non-agreement status means, among other things, that the industrial peace obligation is no longer in force. The Finnish Construction Union has not yet (March 19.3) announced any industrial action in the construction industry.

Until new collective agreements are created, the previous agreements concluded in 2023 must be followed.

We will continue negotiations and provide updates on their progress as the situation develops.
