Rakennusnoteollisuus RT is carrying out a communication campaign in cooperation with investor, non-fiction writer Merja Mähkä, with the aim of releasing the home buying and renovation brake from people's minds. Now would be the right time to act, when the outlook is gradually improving.

The housing market has been stagnant this year, and the repairs of housing associations have also partially frozen. However, the underlying factors are beginning to ease: Interest and cost levels are settling in, the economic recession may remain short-lived, consumer employment and earnings are on track, and house prices have bottomed out.
The need for acquiring an apartment or for basic repairs has not disappeared anywhere. With a communication campaign, RT aims to alleviate uncertainty and offer views on topics that occupy the minds of many.
Would now be the right time to buy a first home? What things are good to take into account when buying a new apartment and what do you need to know about housing association loans? Is it worth buying an investment property right now? And why shouldn't the housing association's repair projects be postponed?
RT engaged Merja Mähkän as a partner in the influencer marketing campaign, who is known for, among other things, investment-related books, columns and Instagram content. Mähkä writes in a practical way and in a way that speaks to the ordinary purse holder about money movements and financial topics. He constantly monitors, among other things, the development of interest rates and considers where the money should be invested.
"In a buyer's market, it's nice to be part of this market. Buying an apartment is one of the biggest decisions in a person's life, and now it is possible to think and compare in peace," says Merja Mähkä.
The campaign messages will be published in November on Instagram on the accounts @merjamahakka and @Rakennusteollisuus_RT. The content will come in the form of both reels, i.e. short, informative videos, and stories.
