The Ministry of the Interior has submitted a request for urgent material aid to Ukraine. The war in Ukraine has created a huge need for humanitarian aid, and construction companies are also expected to make donations to help Ukrainians.
With winter approaching, donations would be needed, among other things, for firewood, sleeping bags, warm clothes, water purification systems, portable hot water heaters and thermal insulation. If your company is interested in making donations, check out the detailed instructions below and information on what kind of supplies are currently in greatest shortage.
The company offering to be a donor must fill out and submit a form to the ministry stating the supplies and goods to be donated. If the donation offer is accepted, but the donor cannot take care of delivering the donated goods to their collection point in Finland, a list of the addresses of the partnership network of rescue agencies is also included, to which the goods can be delivered by following the instructions. In these cases, Posti transports the goods further to the national collection point. The goods are transported and distributed from Finland to the target area through and with the help of the European rescue service mechanism.
The Construction Industry RT does not have a practical role in coordinating the donations, instead, donating companies are asked to act directly themselves and to contact the ministry in accordance with the instructions.
