RT's growth seminars: Collaboration brings vitality to Eastern Finland

When builders, business and the city work together, the quality is guaranteed to be excellent. This was also stated in Kuopio and Joensuu, where Rakennusteollisuus RT was organizing partnership seminars. The seminars discussed the importance of construction investments in terms of vitality and the national economy, and looked for the most effective ways to strengthen and accelerate the growth of cities.

At the events, speeches were heard from the cities as well as the region's companies, businesses and educational institutions. The speeches emphasized the different means and actions that accelerate growth and create vitality in cities.

CEO of Rakennusteollisuus RT Aleksi Randell praised the courage of both Joensuu and Kuopio to invest and grow.

"Investments are vital for the city. Building creates growth, well-being and vitality for both the city and its inhabitants. A growing and developing city also guarantees a favorable environment for companies to operate and invest. The investments create a positive cycle for the city and the entire region," explains Randell.

The importance of effective cooperation was also emphasized in the speeches. Close and good cooperation between builders, the business community and the city and the region's educational institutions has been seen to produce a lot of added value.

"Smooth cooperation and functional municipal services are direct attractive factors from the point of view of both current and future companies. When the municipality and business life clearly have the same direction, it is also directly reflected in the municipality's ability to take actions that increase vitality", concludes Randell.

The seminars aroused interest in the region and the events were attended by the mayor of Joensuu Kari Karjalainen that the mayor of Kuopio Jarmo Pirhonen. In addition, political decision-makers and office holders of both cities, principals and teaching staff of the regions' educational institutions, as well as representatives of the region's business life and entrepreneurs were seen at the events.
