Rakennustuoteollisuus RTT ry and Industria Oy have launched the consulting project "Risk situations of fireplaces and chimneys as a developer of fire safety", co-financed by the Fire Protection Fund.
The goal of the project is to share information about the current regulations and instructions regarding chimneys and fireplaces, as well as typical risk situations. Among the current regulations, the RIL 245-2020 Small chimneys guideline, which will be published in the next few weeks, takes into account the Ministry of the Environment's regulation on chimneys (745/2017), the related guide and the recently updated national application standards for chimneys (SFS 7009-7015).
The project is also relevant thanks to the error card project implemented by FISE Oy. As a result, 10 error cards dealing with fireplaces and chimneys were prepared in FISE's Building Error Bank. With the help of the advisory project, in addition to sharing information, the aim is to create new practices on how to use identified risk situations to develop fire safety in the future.
The project is intended for everyone interested in the theme, especially the target group is building inspectors, fire authorities, designers, responsible foremen, smoke sweepers, companies in the field, installers and distributors.
The project consists of free afternoon seminars held in the following locations:
- 18.3. Espoo
- 19.3. Turku
- 21.4. Kuopio
- 7.5. Tampere
- 28.5. Oulu
