In its current form, the Construction Industry Standards and Eurocodes seminar, now organized for the third time, will be held in December at Kalastajatorpa in Helsinki.
The seminar offers an annual up-to-date overview of standardization and authority guidance in the construction industry, as well as its practical effects, especially with the design community in mind.
This time, the seminar will discuss, among other things, the following current issues:
- Official reviews
- Further development of Eurocodes
- Processing of CE-marked construction products in design
- Emissions and environmental effects of construction products
- Design instructions for glass structures
- National product approvals
The main issue of the event is advance information about the future second-generation Eurocodes, which are planned to replace the current Eurocodes in the middle of the next decade.
The listeners will also be told how to influence the content of future Eurocodes.
"Now influencing is still possible, even from small member countries like Finland, as long as the comments show expertise and are well-founded", reminds the acting head of Eurocodes. specialist, consultant Antti Koponen.
The 2019 Eurocode seminar is arranged Helsinki's Kalastajatorpa on Tuesday, December 3, from 10 a.m. to 17 p.m. Finnish experts and authorities in the field will be the speakers at the free event.
The program of the seminar and the registration link will be published on this page closer to the time.
