Training: Fair work – managing an equal and safe work community in practice November 17th at 1:00 PM–2:00 PM => supervisors, management and human resources

In this training aimed at supervisors, management and human resources, we focus on how to identify and prevent harassment and gender-based discrimination as part of everyday management and work community operations.

We will review what harassment is in practice, how it manifests itself in different situations, and why addressing it is essential for both the well-being of personnel and the functioning of the organization. The starting point is also the employer's obligations under legislation.

The training helps build effective and reliable practices for how a supervisor acts in problem situations and how situations are handled. We especially strengthen supervisors' skills to recognize warning signs, act sensitively, and refer employees to support if necessary.

The goal is to strengthen the capabilities of supervisors and management to build clear operating models and a work community where safety, trust and respect are visible in everyday operations and also support the organization's performance.

The trainer is the Executive Director of UN Women Finland. Jaana Hirsikangas.

The training is part of the Fair Labor Project, a joint project of the entire construction industry, which is supported by the Construction Industry Federation RT, the Finnish Construction Federation, Pro, RIL, RKL, RIA and Safa, as well as the Electricity Federation, STTA and STUL. We want to build a work culture where everyone is treated equally and fairly. Let's put an end to discrimination, harassment and inappropriate treatment together!

The materials and recording will be published on our member pages after the training.
