Inappropriate treatment, gender-based and sexual harassment are not always easy to recognize. Even if you notice such behavior in your own work community, it can be difficult to intervene.
In this training, we will take a practical look at what harassment is, how it can manifest itself in everyday workplace life, and what effects it has on individuals and the entire work community. At the same time, we will provide practical tips on how each member of the work community can concretely promote a safe, respectful, and equal work community through their own actions.
The training helps to identify situations where the boundaries of good behavior are crossed, and to consider one's own role in building a safe and equal work community. Participants receive practical ways to address inappropriate behavior and intervene safely. We also discuss how to support a colleague who has experienced harassment and where to get help in this situation.
The goal is to strengthen everyone's ability to act in situations where they experience or perceive inappropriate treatment or harassment, and to promote a work culture where everyone is treated with respect and equality.
The trainer is the Executive Director of UN Women Finland. Jaana Hirskangas.
The training is part of the Fair Labor Project, a joint project of the entire construction industry, which is supported by the Construction Industry Federation RT, the Finnish Construction Federation, Pro, RIL, RKL, RIA and Safa, as well as the Electricity Federation, STTA and STUL. We want to build a work culture where everyone is treated equally and fairly. Let's put an end to discrimination, harassment and inappropriate treatment together!
The materials and recording will be published on our member pages after the training.
