Low carbon and the promotion of a circular economy are important for a company in the construction industry in terms of future success. Green Building Council Finland's free workshops help you draw up concrete plans to promote low-carbon and circular economy measures in your company.
1) The #BuildingLife workshops help you create your own low-carbon road map
#BuildingLife is a European project whose goal is to make the reduction of material-related emissions a central climate goal of the EU, member states and companies. FIGBC invites all organizations operating in the real estate and construction industry to draw up their own road map to reduce emissions and join as a #BuildingLife supporter! As a supporter, you commit to drawing up your own road map to reduce emissions.
Among the companies involved in the construction industry are Skanska, NCC, SRV and JM Suomi. Becoming a supporter and participating in the workshops are free of charge.
2) In the circular economy green deal workshops, circular economy activities are sparred and a commitment is drawn up to promote the circular economy
The national circular economy green deal, promoted by the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Labor and Economy, aims to promote the circular economy widely in Finnish society. By drawing up its own Circular Economy green deal commitment, the company commits to promoting concrete circular economy measures. In the construction industry, this means, for example, promoting the reuse of building materials and reducing materials that end up as waste. The Green Building Council provides support to companies in the real estate and construction industry to draw up commitments.
RT is also preparing its own circular economy green deal.
