In the fall, the Northern Savo ELY Center will prepare a labor force barometer for Northern Savo. The workforce barometer provides a view of the current situation of regions and key industries and the prospects for the near future.
In the workforce barometer, the focus is on the workforce and skills needs of regions and industries, and it is prepared based on industry-specific evaluation events. We hope that the events will be attended by representatives of employers in order to get a comprehensive picture of the industry's workforce and skills needs.

The information from the labor barometer is used in the preparation of the regional work permit policy and in the planning and development of the national labor policy. The information is also important for employment authorities, educational institutions and employers, and of course for those planning their own career path. The labor force barometer's regional forecasting data for labor and skills needs will be published at the end of October.
