At work
I work in the Degree Education team of the Construction Industry Education Center RATEKO. I work with degree-targeted trainings and target group personal qualifications (FISE) for site and production management in a wide range of fields. My duties include the development of degrees, demonstration activities and the training that prepares for them, as well as cooperation with the working life of the degree field and the organizers of other trainings.
At the Site
I have worked in the construction industry all my life and my job has changed and developed over the years. As soon as I learned to walk, my construction master father took me to the construction site to see who and what was being done there, with what tools and techniques. When I was a little older, I participated in auxiliary work and later I already built myself. Industry-specific training and experience led to the fact that I later studied to become a construction foreman and worked as a construction site supervisor and site manager. Nowadays, I work as a teacher, coach and part of a service that produces qualifications for construction site management, which I value. I have been able to learn and study several times during my working career, most recently in 2018 I graduated as a vocational teacher (AmO) with the encouragement of my employer. Teaching is the best way to learn more.
My free time
Even though I am a "builder" through my work history and comprehensive approach to work, moving in nature has always been a way to relax, renew and recover. I enjoy remote camping, boating, and motorcycling, which provides a counterweight to my current knowledge work. Moving in nature and observing it may, in addition to recovery, bring thoughts and solutions to burning questions of everyday life. My hobby is also researching work and organizational cultures as well as the development of responsibility issues in companies and society. Today, I am more of a Father, a coach and the older person for whom it is no longer enough to just "do good for myself", but it is meaningful to do good for others and ensure global and planetary well-being for our part, all of us with our small actions.
