Customer satisfaction in building construction contracting

The Building Construction Contracting Customer Satisfaction Survey is a survey developed and implemented by EPSI Rating that annually measures professional builders' experience of main contractors in a comprehensive and consistent manner.

The survey, conducted by professional clients from both the private and public sectors, evaluates the participating construction companies. The survey focuses on large projects, such as schools, hospitals, office buildings and rental housing.

The study will first collect quantitative data, based on which a more in-depth qualitative study will be carried out. The study will interview a total of approximately one hundred client representatives and end users of completed projects.

The study was first carried out in 2025, when the assessment focused on construction projects completed in 2023–2024.

The index indicating the level of customer satisfaction is produced on a scale of 0–100, where over 75 is very satisfied, 60–75 is satisfied, and 0–60 is dissatisfied.

EPSI Rating is an independent and non-profit academic organization.
