At RT's startup afternoon, 15 growth companies presented new digital and AI-based solutions to construction companies, aiming to improve productivity and quality in the industry. The event also launched the KIRAHub mentoring program for startups in the industry.
At the startup afternoon organized by RT for the second time, growth companies presented their innovative solutions for, among other things, the development of construction site situational awareness and project management, the automation of planning and information management, and the management of construction documentation.
The event's keynote speaker is an artificial intelligence expert. Taavi Paananen (including Supercell, FR8, SRV, Peikko) emphasized the importance of growth companies in the development of technology in the sector and encouraged traditional players to collaborate to promote innovations.
“The development of productivity in the construction sector has been slow, and therefore bold utilization of technology is essential. The digitalization of the construction sector is not only happening in large companies or research projects, but startups are also an important part of this development. We need new technologies and fresh perspectives brought by startups to renew the sector,” says RT’s Development Director Antti Aaltonen.
