The RT union community has received reinforcement for regional operations in August. A public relations expert has been appointed to the RT central union during the family leave of the public relations manager.

A new executive director and regional manager will serve as a joint resource for the building construction industry and INFRA in the Central Finland region. Head of Public Relations at RT Lauri Pakkanen is on family leave until the end of 2025 and a public relations expert has been appointed during his absence Markus Vierumäki.
New Executive Director and Regional Manager for Central Finland
Aleksi Rämö started as the Executive Director of INFRA Keski-Suomi and the Regional Manager of the Finnish Building Construction Industry Association in the Central Finland region. He is a Master of Science (Econ.) with a strong background in the construction industry. Aleksi has worked for Muurametalo for seven years in the construction of single-family houses and terraced houses, four of which as Managing Director. At the beginning of 2024, he moved to Lassila & Tikanoja in the real estate services sector.
Aleksi brings with him a wide range of experience in the construction industry. In his new role, he will focus on regional advocacy work, supporting member companies and bringing new ideas to the Central Finland district.
"The feeling is great and the orientation has started with great enthusiasm. There is a lot to learn, but there is a lot to draw from previous history for current tasks. I am looking forward to getting up to speed with the member companies," Aleksi says.
In his free time, Aleksi spends time with his 4- and 6-year-old children, does a variety of sports, and enjoys being outdoors. “Exercising in the forest is especially important as a counterbalance to the hustle and bustle of everyday life.”
Expert reinforcements for the Turku and Tampere regional offices of the Building Construction Industry
Kati Kuoksa started at the Turku Regional Office of the Building Construction Industry in the Southwest Finland and Satakunta district as a regional specialist. Her job description includes regional member service and advocacy for member companies. Kati works as a regional manager at the Turku Regional Office Katja Suovon as a working couple.
Kati has previously worked for a long time in Hartela's communications, among other places, and most recently as a project manager in the Turku Ratapiha development project. She has ten years of previous work experience with the City of Turku - she has been involved in dozens of new and renovation projects, learning about municipal decision-making, the life cycle of a construction project, and cooperation with various stakeholders in construction.
"I have been welcomed very warmly, it is a pleasure to work in such an expert organization. It is important for me to listen to our members and stakeholders in particular and to have their views and wishes heard. The first site and stakeholder visits have already been made and networking has begun. It is wonderful to learn more about the industry from the perspective of the Building Construction Industry as well," says Kati.
In her free time, Kati enjoys going out and doing a variety of sports, including coaching sports teams on a small scale. “I go out with my dog every day and enjoy walking in nature, also as part of my hunting hobby.”
Henri Jokinen, who started as a regional specialist in the building construction industry's Inner Finland and Ostrobothnia district, will now work as a regional manager in the Tampere regional office. Jari Lehtonen as a working partner. The job description includes regional member service and advocacy for member companies.
Henri previously worked at Boost Brothers as a construction consultant. He has almost 20 years of previous work experience in construction companies and construction consultant positions. Henri has been involved in numerous custom-built residential projects for the construction company as well as new and renovation projects for commercial buildings. During his career, he has gained experience in project development, design supervision, project management and public procurement, among other things.
"The orientation has started off well and I have already been able to get to know the Building Construction Industry team during the summer days together. I am looking forward to working with the member companies," says Henri.
In his free time, Henri drives his three sons to their hobbies, goes fishing, and serves as team captain for a junior ice hockey team.
Public relations expert joins RT's central union
In August, Markus Vierumäki also started as a public relations expert at the RT Central Union. He will serve as an expert during the family leave of RT's head of public relations, Lauri Pakkanen, until the end of 2025.
Markus is joining RT from the communications agency Tekir, where he will be on leave. Markus has worked for a long time as a consultant in influencer communications at Tekir. He has extensive experience in social influence and communications from various industries. He also has a background in advocacy and organizational work.
“It’s great to be part of a community of top experts. The orientation sessions have been really useful and the topics interesting. My colleagues have welcomed me warmly, and I’m looking forward to the upcoming autumn,” says Markus.
In his free time, Markus enjoys spending time with friends, relaxing at the cottage, and actively participating in sports – especially football and athletics.
