Municipal elections 2025: Construction industry RT promises a boost in vitality, as long as the growth ground is prepared

Long-term development of the built environment is an effective way to compete for talent, investments and the tax revenue they bring, RT reminds us in its election messages.

As a result of the rapid change in the operating environment, the role of municipalities in vitality policy will be further emphasized in the upcoming election period.

"Municipalities must analyze the changed situation and make the necessary changes to their strategies. The most effective vitality policy is the development of the built environment. In the hands of a long-term decision-maker, it is a growth platform for work, expertise and services," RT's CEO Aleksi Randell crystallize.

The growth platform will be prepared, among other things, by ensuring the sufficiency of housing and future investments, investing in transport connections and accelerating the pace of renovation construction. By investing in the built environment, the municipality can offer residents and businesses cost-effective functionality, smoothness and innovative solutions. This means traction and retention power that ensures a stream of tax revenue far into the future.

"To achieve the best outcome, the municipality needs solutions from construction companies. A particularly interesting time to listen to companies in the industry is right now, when they have a lot of free capacity," Randell reminds.
