Timo Vikström starts as the chairman of RT

Timo Vikström, CEO of Kreate Group, was elected chairman of the board of Rakennusteollisuus RT at the union's autumn meeting. The two-year presidency will begin at the beginning of 2023.

Timo Vikström has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry, mainly in infrastructure construction. He has been the CEO of the listed Kreate since 2017. Before that, he has worked in several different roles, for example at Destia and Lemminkäinen. By education, he is an engineer, Ylempi AMK and Executive MBA.

Vikström has been the vice-chairman of RT's board from 2019–2022 and a member of Infra ry's board since 2018. He also holds positions of trust on the boards of various companies.

As a professional with an infrastructure background, Vikström aims to raise the status of infrastructure construction and highlight its versatility. He considers cooperation and consideration of all parties in the construction cluster to be equally important, without forgetting anyone.

"I want to see myself as an easily approachable and cooperative operator. At Construction Industry, our doors are always open to our members as well as to all the partners with whom we build good things together according to the strategy," sums up Vikström.

The CEO of Rudus was elected as RT's first vice-president Mikko Vasama and the CEO of NHK Rakenkus as second vice-chairman Jukka-Pekka Soila.
