INFRA ry's statement to the transport and communications committee on the government's proposal to parliament for the state budget for 2025

The budget allocations allocated to the maintenance and development of transport and communication networks make up about 25% of the infrastructure construction market, so the matter is very important for the industry represented by INFRA ry and the companies operating in it.

 A total of 3,6 billion euros is proposed for the Ministry of Transport and Communications' administrative sector, which is approx. 19 million. euro less than in the actual budget of 2024.

The maintenance and development of transport and communication networks accounts for 56% of the allocations for the main category.

The 2025 budget for transport and communication networks is proposed to be approx. 2,0 billion euros, which is approx. 40 million euro less than in the actual budget of 2024. Of this, approx. 1,5 billion euros are proposed for basic road maintenance, which is approx. 70 million. euro less than in the actual budget of 2024. 2,7 million is proposed as an addition to the basic road maintenance. euro allocation, especially for small transport projects in Eastern Finland.

373 euros will be allocated for the development of the canal network, which means approx. 693 million. an increase of one euro compared to the actual budget of 000. The increase is caused by a more detailed forecast regarding the payments of the CEF subsidies granted and the channel projects to be started with the funding of the investment program of the government program.
