Security parks

Turvapuisto is an occupational safety training course. There are two of them in Finland: Espoo and Oulu

Rudus security park

Europe's first safety park in the construction industry, the Rudus safety park, was established in Espoo in 2009. It is a training track where occupational safety is learned through practice. Turvapuisto has concrete examples of real accidents in the construction industry. Several dozens of checkers practice how to prevent accidents and dangerous situations.

Nearly 7000 people from construction companies, educational institutions and other stakeholders come to train at Turvapuisto every year.

Northern Finland security park

Finland's second security park is located in Oulu. Opened in the spring of 2014, the Northern Finland Safety Park serves all sectors and especially educational institutions.

More than 60 companies and communities have been building the security park. Each of them has built at least one training tick suitable for them, where the safe execution of a work step or the safe use of a device is presented. The checkers teach safe working methods and the safe use of equipment. The subjects of ticks include, among others

  • working at height
  • mining and explosion safety
  • fire and lifting safety
  • cleanliness
  • consideration of the environment.
