Teaching materials

Rakennusteollisuus RT has produced the Educational material package "Work safety in the construction industry" for use by teachers. The material can be downloaded free of charge from this page one topic at a time. 

The material is designed for use by teachers of universities of applied sciences for occupational safety lessons, and it can be adapted to each teacher's own teaching needs. 

This is how you utilize the material

  • The scope of the material is approximately 25 teaching hours (45 minutes each) 
  • The Powerpoint material is divided into 21 subject areas. 
  • The duration of one subject area is one lesson, with the exception of the TTS subject area (two teaching hours with a TTS exercise) and the TR subject area (three teaching hours)  
  • The material can be used as a separate course or included in other courses where applicable  
  • As needed, instructional text, references and additional sources have been added to the slides of the material in the PowerPoint program; some of the material contains hidden slides that the teacher can use  
  • Tasks that can be used in teaching or as homework have also been added to some of the material by subject area
