At Work

I work as the director responsible for the technology affairs of Taloteknine teollisuus ja kauppa ry, or Talteka. My work includes the monitoring of national regulations and the monitoring of European regulatory projects as far as they affect the legislation applicable in Finland. I pass on information to designers with the help of various information packs, guides and examples published on the Talotekniikkainfo.fi service and on Talteka's website. In writing the materials, I coordinate the work of working groups consisting of representatives of different stakeholders.

Wearing the hat of the construction industry, I acted as deputy leader of the Energy Efficiency of Buildings team.

At the Site

I have lived in Raksa during the renovation of an old detached house and its 30-year maintenance. I spend my vacations in the relaxing comfort of a hundred-year-old log-built summer house. The last project was renewing, strengthening and adding beams to the intermediate floor. I have only built for my own needs, but good advice is enough for others, even more so.

In the evenings and weekends, I spend a lot of time with music, either playing in various classical music or wind ensembles or listening to others play.
