At Work

I am a member of RT's management team and the core of my work is to develop construction productivity and quality throughout the entire value chain. I am responsible for RT's strategy and implementing it into our everyday work. I lead the internal More effective RT development program and brings a strong builder's perspective to the management team's work.

We are implementing this development work together with RT's digital group and the building construction industry development group, as well as INFRA's future and digital groups. I lead RT's internal construction development team, which seeks solutions common to the entire industry and promotes their implementation.

I am also involved in several cross-cutting development projects at RT and represent RT, for example in working groups preparing for the reconstruction of Ukraine and serve as the chairman of the board of KIRAHub.

At the Site

I have a fairly traditional construction background – both through my family and from my own summer jobs in overalls. The concreteness of construction attracted me early on, and I began my studies at Tampere University of Technology in 2004.

During my studies, I worked at Lemcon as a summer foreman and project engineer. After graduating, I moved to SRV, where I progressed from project engineer to project manager and managed diverse commercial and residential construction projects. In 2013–2015, I worked in China on UPM's Panda project, which opened a new perspective on construction practices and project cultures.

I have always been interested in developing the industry, and this led to my position as Development Director at SRV in 2019. In 2021, I moved to RT, where I can influence the operating models of the entire industry – not just individual projects or companies. My goal is to find practical ways to improve construction productivity, quality and collaboration across the entire value chain, together with industry players.

In my free time

In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors. In the summer, I jog, orienteer, hike and cycle – even commuting to work from Meilahti is often done by bike or on foot. In the winter, I ski and snowboard both on and off the slopes.

My wife and I have a shared passion for traveling, but now we have found our dream cottage in Sammati. There we can relax from everyday life and enjoy nature. Our everyday life and free time are also enriched by our Lagotto dog Lola, with whom we will be spending more time outdoors.
