In the construction industry, traditions and proven methods have long been seen as the cornerstones of success. However, in today's world, traditions alone are not enough - sustainable growth and development require the courage to experiment and adopt new technologies. New growth companies, or startups, are bringing new innovations to the market that can revolutionize the way construction is done and bring added value to companies and society as a whole.
The construction industry faces many global challenges, such as climate change, urbanization, and resource scarcity. Technologies developed by startups can provide solutions to these very problems. For example, the recyclability of building materials, the use of artificial intelligence in the optimization of construction projects, work planning, and the use of digital twins during operation are concrete examples of innovations that have already transformed and improved the efficiency of the industry.
Why is startup collaboration important?
Startups are known for their agility and open-mindedness. They can react quickly to market changes and develop new solutions that challenge traditional ways of doing things. Finland has a very strong and healthy startup ecosystem, which offers construction companies the opportunity to adopt new technologies without having to invest heavily in research and development themselves.

Hi Jaakko and thank you for your comment. I'm not that familiar with stabilization technologies, but at least from my understanding, polymer technology has the potential for wider exports.
You are on a good and important note. Now we should also get a boost in the construction industry. I will never forget stabilization technology. I think we were unable to export it to the world, even if there had been demand. Is it still the case, floods etc. will cause destruction in coastal areas in the future. Would stabilization be the solution?
