The role of repair construction in the construction industry has been emphasized in several speeches during the last year, especially due to the market situation. It has been hoped that repair construction will keep our industry afloat in this difficult time after new construction has almost stopped.

It is also good for the industry to remember that the repair debt is growing all the time and repairs have to be done regardless of the market situation. Our national wealth cannot withstand the postponement of repairs. For this reason, we also have to invest in the development of its processes and the development of the skills of our authors, regardless of the market situation and with the future in mind.
Previous chairman of the school Jyrki Keinänen in his earlier guest pen, urged the industry's organizations to tackle the development challenges of the industry together. And so we have done.
Together, we already made a Renovation Construction scheduling model available to the entire industry free of charge to schedule house construction projects, to support decision-making for the customer and to check the schedule for the contractor.
In addition, we organized a joint renovation construction event that was very popular as a continuation of the management discussion that started in the spring, which also started from the desire to develop the industry together.
Property owners and developers Rakli, Planning and consulting companies Skol, Architects' Association ATL and Rakennusteollisuus RT, one of the goals of the renovation construction seminar was to strengthen the brand value of renovation construction and raise renovation construction professionals to the level they deserve. Renovation construction is its own kind of art, and you can't do it only with the principles of new construction.
During the coming spring, our goal is to get our members and the entire industry moving around a common development project. The goal of the development project is the systematic development of renovation construction.
The project as a whole is divided into three phases, and the first phase focuses on the planning management and coordination of procurement, planning and implementation. This phase is carried out by conducting interviews and at workshops organized for those who have signed up, where the voice of all active participants can be heard and become part of a common solution that promotes change and commitment to it.
With our example, we give young people entering the industry the opportunity to create different career paths and to be involved in interesting projects that are meaningful.
We only have things to win, and you can only lose by hiding in your own silo. The end result of the first phase is not only the criteria of a successful project, but also the creation of a renovation construction network, an ecosystem whose mission is to enable the spread of an important message and best practices.
Together, we raise the value of renovation construction and its creators. At the same time, with our example, we give young people entering the industry the opportunity to create different career paths and to be involved in interesting projects that have meaning. You can't miss this ride.
