Growth opportunities and the world's largest construction site are the topics of the spring meeting

Turning construction into growth and the Ukrainian reconstruction project were on the agenda at the spring meeting of the RT Representative Council and at the stakeholder meeting held afterwards.

RT's Board Chairman Mikko Vasama welcomed the guests to Kevätharjakainen.

The current affairs review of the spring meeting discussed, among other things, the outlook for construction, attraction work, and the government's mid-term election decisions aimed at growth.

At the end of the meeting, the director responsible for RT's construction development Antti Aaltonen told about the reconstruction project in Ukraine, which has been called the world's largest construction site. In addition, the CEO of the Ukrainian Construction Organization CBU was heard Oleksandr Chervakin guest lecture via remote connection.

RT will carry out scenario work on the impacts of reconstruction in Ukraine in the autumn. Through different scenarios, the aim is to map how reconstruction would affect the Finnish construction industry and, for example, critical material flows and labor.

EK, for its part, is launching a two-year Pro Ukraine project, which aims to involve over 200 Finnish companies in the reconstruction of Ukraine. Companies from the construction industry are naturally also welcome to join the project.

After the meeting at the Spring Brushwood event Peter Orpo brought the greetings of the Government and reported on the Government's actions to put the economy on a growth path. He particularly highlighted the significant investments in transport infrastructure and also referred to the Government's decisions regarding mid-term housing financing and MAL agreements.

"Let's build Finland for growth," Prime Minister Petteri Orpo said in his speech.
Katajanokka Kasino and its terraces brought together around three hundred members of RT's administration and stakeholders in Kevätharjakainen.
Minister of the Environment and Climate Sari Multala and SDP Chairman Antti Lindtman exchanged news with Aleksi Randell.
RT's CEO Aleksi Randell, who also celebrated his 50th anniversary, received, among other things, a Harry Potter magic wand and a magician's hat with a rabbit from Division Director Kirsi Palviainen, Juha Luhanga and Paavo Syrjö to facilitate Aleksi's work to conjure up growth in construction.
