Digitization of the construction industry enables production efficiency, developing the industry's operating methods and standardizing the flow of information in the supply chain. RT's digital group, which consists of digital enthusiasts from the construction industry, has themes related to product information, artificial intelligence and the green transition on its agenda this year.

The group's activities are explained by the chairman, a leading expert Miro Ristimäki (innovations and environmental responsibility) from Skanska.
What is the purpose of the digital group's activities?
The digital group creates conditions for value creation brought by digitalization for RT's member companies. We do this by sharing the latest information from the field, gathering together companies' views and needs to move forward, and planning and sparring joint actions in the field.
Who are the group members?
The members of the digital group are digitization managers or experts, as well as persons interested in utilizing digital from member companies that actively utilize digitization - in other words, persons responsible for the digital affairs of pioneering companies.

What is the top agenda in the digital group in 2024?
This year, our agenda includes many themes related to product information, artificial intelligence and the green transition. A separate supply chain product information management development project has been established for the flow of digitized product information in the supply chain. We also discuss the challenges and opportunities brought by the green transition and the construction law in the flow of information in the construction process.
Also on the agenda are the opportunities and challenges of artificial intelligence both in companies and in the industry as a whole, as well as understanding and possible coordination of the interests and goals of industry stakeholders (e.g. RTS, Building 2030, Talotekniikki 2030, KIRAHub and KIRA growth program). In addition to these, we aim to map and understand new innovations, operating methods and technologies.
Describe the group in three words.
Initiative, critical, visionary.
